Congrats to Grant Pearce and all his LMFF staff and volunteers. What a sensational week it was.  We are so incredibly blessed with our Australian Designers.

I am off to a secret exotic location for 10 days tomorrow with no phone or internet.  So I look forward to bringing you loads of news, updates and where to shop when I'm back.

LMFF - Melbourne, Collections last night...

Hello lovely people...

I know Sydney competes (very well mind you) for our glorious crown as fashion capital but after this week even the Sydney peeps are saying Melbourne is STILL the fashion capital of Australia.

The parades have been exceptional - and so so professional.  Last night I attended the Madison Show - WOW it was freaking fantastic! These were the contenders

Arthur Galan AG, Bianca Spender, camilla and marc, Carl Kapp, Flannel, LIFEwithBIRD, Lisa Ho, Yeojin Bae

 I have to make special mention of Arthur Galan AG - senational..you could buy nearly everything you ever needed from Arthur - itwas yummy/sexy but sophisticated at the same time, Yeojin Bae - just so beautiful and so precise, Camilla and Mark - funky, very cool...all the things I love wearing.  Its about heaps of style and attitude whilst still being comfortable.  But truly all the designers sent out beautiful styles - it's really personal taste.

NOTE: HAVE TRYED L'OREAL YOUTH CODE FOR THE LAST MONTH AND IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT.  I NORMALLY USE DERMALOGICA BUT THIS WAS REALLY GOOD - just WISH IT WASNT TESTED ON ANIMALS!  LIKE MOST PRODUCTS - PROB DERMALOGICA TOO???

ALEX PERRY show....WOW!!!!!

I attended the most amazingly, beautiful show last night.  My feet are killing me from high heel damage but I cant complain to you - it is in all in the name of FASHION.

The Alex Perry show was sincerely one of the best I've seen in Australia. I felt as if I were at Paris Fashion week.  Not only that there were loads totally cool and lovely people there to enjoy the event. A number of celebs - but my personal favourites were Andie Mac Dowell - OMG she is truly gorgeous - I guess coz 'She's worth it'  Love it.  Also Melissa George and her lovely hubby, Megan Gale and more....

Alex - the collection is sincerely beautiful, exotic and slighty reminds me of those beautiful Hollywood Actresses in the 50's - slim pencil skirt lines, flowing chifffon for evening wear. 

Thankyou LMFF (Grant Pearce) for believing you could put this event on and make it a huge success.  And mostly thankyou to my friend Amanda Purcell who Project Managed the event  from go to wo.  You're amazing.  I know how hard you have worked for the past 4 months to make this event as superb as it was. 

So if you ever need an amazing event manager - Amanda Purcell is the gal.

OH just one more thing - the food and beverage by TOMMY COLLINS which was so abundant and incredibly sophisticated yet yummy!  I had never heard of these guys until Amanda introduced me and then saw them in action WOW.  Honestly think twice - give them a shout - maybe do a tasting plate because they are sincerely Fantastic.  And Cute :)

Soooo much more to write about the Business Seminar today and Madison parade tonight but I am sure you'll wait :)

FASHION FULL STOP!

My website is going live today - I am super excited! And LMFF started last night....

NEWS:
Fashion Full Stop the first event of LMFF went off like a rocket last night.  Who would have thought you could have showcased Australian fashion throughout the years in such a sophisticated yet flamboyant/magical way.

With Marcia Hines and Guy Sebastian (to name a few) singing, the models and dancers were so well choreographed.  The show went off without a hitch.  Congratulations to Ant Hample and his team for a superb job.  A few pics...

I hope you have a ticket to at least one of the parades this week.  It is promising to be the best LMFF we've had.  The Alex Perry Show on Wednesday the 16th is going to be superb - so if you don't have a ticket you can turn up on the night and buy one. There are about 100 or so left (which you can buy online).  Included in the $195 you get The Alex Perry parade, a fabulous fully catered for cocktail party after the parade - with DJ Sveta playing the tunes, an abundant gift bag and champagne upon arrival.  Along with seated position for the parade.  See you there :)

NOTE: It seems anything goes at the moment - Skin tight dresses, layering, Skinny Jeans/heels and a fabulous voluminous top, beautifully made dresses with gloves and a gorgeous bag - MMMmm yeah - you can really be who you want to be.

Hi Guys

Well I've been chatting to all the LMFF peeps and everyone is v excited.  I hope you have your tickets - it's going to be a great festival.  Sorry to be a Pain but I really think Main Show Monday and Wednesday Night's Alex Perry show will be standouts.

That said...the most inspirational thing for me last year, was the fashion Seminar on the Thursday.  With incredible speakers from all over the world.  Not only about business but also about new ideas and how people get there.  It was my favourite day of last year.  And you must hear Laura Anderson - she is exceptional.

Now I know I promised to bring a lot more to this blog - AND I WILL!  So hold tight as the fashion bug will bite :)

HOT THIS WEEK: Well we all knew Sherpa was going to be hot for winter but where can we find the best (non sherpa) Sherpa Jacket or Coat??? You tell me :)

And dont you just LOVE Rosie Huntington - Whitely?  She is beautiful with a capital B!  Who is your fave model?
Mine are Rosie, K. Moss, Erin Wasson and our own Abby Lee - she's fab.  And of course Natalia V and YES KATE - I know I have already mentioned her but she is totally freakin special.

I am LOVING this - my first post ever on my own BLOG - like all the othe bloggerazziees!!

Well. Welcome to STYLE inc. I am very proud to finally have my website up and live. AND can I tell you the person to go to - www.halfasec.com.au Just say Jo from Style Inc. sent u. She is so so, so reasonable, fast , creative and approachable. Totally amazing.

SO, next week is LMFF... The BIG opening show is on Monday night - which promises to be outta control and fashion fab :). Can't wait! In fact I think the whole week will be spectactular.

The other event I am really waiting for is The Wednesday Night Extravaganza! At the Carlton Exhibition building..... okay ...His name starts with A and he is a fabulous Australian Designer. BTW... he has just lauched a gorgeous range of Specs! ALEX PERRY eat your heart our babe - this will be fabulous.... If you havent got a ticket get one coz it's going to be a great night. xxx
